About the Talinga-Bwisi language

Talinga-Bwisi, also known as Bwissi, Kitalinga, Lubwisi, Lubwissi, Mawissi or Olubwisi, is a language of Uganda.It has over 101,000 users in Bundibugyo district: Bwamba county, southwest of Fort Portal, between Albert and Edward lakes; Democratic Republic of the Congo border.

It has no known dialects but shares 68% inherent intelligibility with Tooro [ttj]. Lexical similarity: 73% with Tooro [ttj], 72% with Nyoro [nyo], 40% with Nande

Talinga-Bwisi is different from Bwisi of Congo and Gabon.
